About Me

I have more than 12 years of experience designing instructor-led, virtual, digital, or blended learning solutions, as well as, presenting and facilitating training programs. I'm also skilled in building and mapping competency frameworks, project, stakeholder, and vendor management.

I have built my knowledge and skills over the years by working in various industries including accounting and audit, banking and finance, insurance, media and publishing, not-for-profit, recruitment, registered training organisation, and most recently, building and construction.

Career history
I have worked in the learning space as L&D Associate Consultant (TOWER/TAL Insurance), Instructional Design Consultant (KPMG Australia), Instructional Designer (Bankwest/CBA), Instructional Designer (News Corp Australia) and Senior Instructional Designer (Allegis Group APAC), Learning Designer Project Delivery Lead (Lifeline Australia) and I’m currently the Global Learning Solutions Lead at Lendlease. I consecutively won a Platinum Award and a Gold Award at the LearnX Awards 2020 and 2022.

Origin
I was born in Manila, Philippines at 6am on a rainy August day. Sandwiched between an older brother and a younger sister, I grew up discovering the challenges of being a middle-child. I became independent, self-reliant and fell in love with studying. I have a Tourism Management degree and worked in a travel agency, a 3-star hotel and a 5-star resort after university.

Oz trip
I moved to Sydney, NSW, Australia – my very first overseas trip – in 1995, the year they started building the ANZAC bridge. My first job was a buyer for an importer/wholesaler of arts and crafts materials and in my seven years there, I learned to paint which then allowed me to do art demonstrations at different events like the Easter Show.

Outside work
I enjoy cooking, watching movies and musicals, listening to music, reading comic books, fiddling with my iMac, iPad, iPhone and of course, travelling. Winter is my favourite season, pork is my favourite meat, ‘The Alchemist’ by Paolo Coelho is my favourite book, Paris is my favourite destination, and shopping is my favourite pastime.
